Meet the Team - Elliott Lyons
This week on the blog we get to know newcomer here at Bamboo HQ - Elliott Lyons. Read on for the interview.
Whats your role at Bamboo?
I'm the Retention Marketing Manager.
What do you love about your job?
We've got a great team and awesome culture. I work pretty closely with Craig who is Head of Growth, he acquires the customers and my role is to make sure they hang around and get the most out of being here...I love coming to work everyday working on ways our users can have a better experience once they decide to jump on board Bamboo. Its a constant evolution that compounds with every project which I love and there a million ways to make the customer experience just that little bit better.
What do you do when you're not at work?
I'm the classic Jack of all trades, master of none. I do enjoy a dabble in surfing, tennis, guitar, crypto, cooking & photography although none to the standard I'd like!
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
Sentimental me says football on the beach and in the streets of Brazil. Worn out me looking for a reset craves a day or two with no phone reception, going for a surf hanging out at the beach and reading a book so I'll usually venture up or down the coast looking for a quiet pocket to set up camp.
Favourite crypto project you’re keeping a close eye on?
Polygon.
Have you been into crypto for a while?
I got caught up in the hype of defi summer and have been hooked ever since.
If you weren’t in Marketing what would you be?
I'd like to say a tennis player, but I don't have fast twitch muscle fibre in my whole body so a surfer? Thta'd be pretty epic!
What was your childhood dream?
To be Ronaldinho or Zinedine Zidane. They were my idols.
What sports team do you follow?
Crystal Palace. Strange one I know, but my mums family in the UK are all members so I've been roped into a few too many games over the years to not be a fan...It's been a tough 20 years so far, but we're on the rise!
What's your favourite social media platform and why?
I like Podcasts. You can tune in and learn while you're doing something else...Usually exercising and podcasting is a good combination that I really enjoy - I should have put that as a hobby outside of work!
Any podcasts we should check out?
Tracey told me about Guy from Coin Bureau and I've been so into it!
I also like The Daily for keeping up to date on life etc and Saastr for some great interviews with incredible innovators! Bit of a mix there for you to choose from...
